The cheaper AirPods Lite and the larger AirPods Max 2 may be included in Apple’s upcoming major AirPods upgrade, which is expected to launch in 2024 or 2025.
Recently, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has put in extra effort to provide some hot Apple insights. The TF International Securities analyst stated in his most recent round of tweets that Apple planned to release its next batch of AirPods portable audio devices either in the second half of 2024 or the first half of 2025.

But what’s interesting here is how that AirPods range works because it might have the most comprehensive coverage yet.
According to Kuo, Apple will simultaneously introduce its first budget-friendly AirPods and the high-end successor to the AirPods Max headphones.
The AirPods Max, the company’s first pair of over-ear headphones, was released in late 2020, and the former comes after them. Despite having great sound, they still cost a hefty $549/£549 more than two years after debut.
On the other hand, the so-called AirPods Lite, with a $99 (possibly £99 or £109) price tag, may push Apple’s audio line farther into the public. The AirPods (2019), also referred to as the AirPods (2nd generation), are currently available for $129/£139. They are outdated and still not that affordable.
This month, we learned that Apple was developing a more user-friendly model of its well-known earphones after analyst Jeff Pu revealed that shipments of the company’s current AirPods line are expected to decline in 2023.
