A large number of significant technology organizations have been performing collective redundancies in order to reduce their expenses for a long time now. However, it appears that the beliefs of the still-employed people are sinking because they are, for the time being, worried about job security and the condition of treatment they are receiving at the tech giants.
According to a recent report from the Washington Post, hundreds of Amazon employees at the tech giant’s Seattle headquarters are intending to leave the job in the next couple of days.
A worker who intends to take part in this protest has said,
“Morale feels like it’s at an all-time low. In meetings and one-on-ones with colleagues, there’s so much uncertainty and lack of clarity from leadership. â€æ It’s an unsettling time to work at Amazon.”
As per the cited source, the workers that arranged the protest sent out notifications to other employees at the organization to take part in this on May 31.

Moreover, this appeared only a couple of days after the organisation’s annual shareholder meeting and disappointments over recently performed redundancies and terminating the work-from-home policy. Apart from that, there are further affairs over the technology organization’s environmental commitments.
According to a post by the protest group noted on Twitter,
“Amazon must keep pace with a changing world. To cultivate a diverse, world-class workplace, we need real plans to tackle our climate impact and flexible work options.”
Seeing this type of news for technology companies is not surprising. Amazon also laid off 9,000 more workers just a short while ago, following letting go of approximately 18,000 workers at the start of the current year.

The redundancies have been completed in multiple departments, that includes advertising, human resources, Twitch units, as well as cloud computing.
