Elon Musk reportedly laid off two Tesla workers: Read to know the reason

As per recent reports, Elon Musk, a self-appointed free-speech representative, has now fired two workers from Tesla for complaining about the tech giant’s regulations.

A report issued by Bloomberg suggested that the workers were laid off as they were a part of a group that was talking about and drafting letters essential to Tesla boss Elon Musk.

An employee who was laid off stated that the tweet posted by Elon Musk breached the tech giant’s anti-harassment rule. The workers were dismissed in June. One of them even received an increment in May.

Musk has repeatedly noted how much he backs free speech. Previously, he tweeted that he wished his overwhelming critics to stay on Twitter. Nevertheless, Musk practically could not bear talking against him.

A Bloomberg report suggests that the workers were dismissed for breaching labor regulations. According to the employees’ attorneys and allegations they filed with federal officials, they were dismissed who were participating in a group that talked about and drafted letters that were important to Musk.

The workers in one of the drafts asked Tesla officials to review the hard return-to-office policy that Musk enforced in late May. Another worker stated that one of Musk’s tweets breached Tesla’s anti-harassment regulation.

It is interesting to see that one of the two workers who were dismissed received a raise in May and was laid off in June. The other worker was dismissed a couple of days later. The tech giant informed them that their talks on the group were “an attack” on Tesla.

Here is the detailed yayoins review.

The workers claimed that they were fired for discussing

“Tesla’s failure to enforce its non-harassment policy and its implementation of its post-Covid return to office policy.”

However, Tesla has not remarked on the dismissal of the two workers. The SpaceX workers stated in the letter,

“As our CEO and most prominent spokesperson, Elon is seen as the face of SpaceX — every Tweet that Elon sends is a de facto public statement by the company. It is critical to make clear to our teams and to our potential talent pool that his messaging does not reflect our work, our mission, or our values.”
