Although the layoff process started just following the announcement, many employees are still getting letters related to their tech giant’s future. As per a report by Bloomberg, the Redmond, Washington-based company is currently focusing on hardware divisions, such as HoloLens, and Surface, as well as Xbox divisions.

The spokesperson explains the future of HoloLens by stating,
“While we don’t comment on specific staffing details, we can share there are no changes to HoloLens 2 and our commitment to mixed reality.”
A previous HoloLens worker, Kristian Davila, posted on LinkedIn and stated that several co-workers lost their jobs short a while ago. The post reads,
“My role, along with many amazingly talented colleagues, was eliminated today. I’m still trying to process things, and part of my process is to reflect on the experiences I’ve had during my time on this team.”
