Taylor Swift’s new album Midnights resulted Spotify to crash right after its release

The world-famous songwriter and singer Taylor Swift’s brand new album Midnights has taken the internet by storm pretty literally. Just after the album was launched, Swift’s Midnights pushed the music streaming platform Spotify to crash immediately after it was released.

A large number of users from all over the world stated that they were not able to use the music streaming application. Whenever users attempted to browse the songs, they were welcomed with errors. Midnights is Swift’s 10th album and further comes with 14 songs.

According to reports, Spotify stopped responding to Android as well as iOS users. Users further stated that the Spotify application stopped functioning even though they have a very stable internet connection.

Furthermore, users added that they received “No internet connection” errors when they opened Spotify while all the other applications were functioning fine. Several other applications including Apple Music seemingly do have this type of problem.

According to a website tracking breakdown, Swift’s fans overflowed the music streaming app, which resulted in the application breakdown. The album was released on other music applications however Spotify held a countdown for more than 2 weeks.

Nevertheless, we still haven’t seen any official public statement from the parties, Spotify and Taylor Swift. According to the breakdown tracking website, the application stopped functioning almost exactly the same time Swift’s album was released.

Currently, the music streaming app is working fine for the user. Interestingly, Swift further has records of the app crashing owin to her albums in the past also. It was also seen when Swift re-launched 2012’s Red late last year the apps got crashed.

Spotify tweeted on its Twitter account congratulating Swift for a victorious launch,

“And before the clock could even strike midnight on October 22nd, Taylor Swift broke the record for most-streamed album in a single day in Spotify history.”
