WhatsApp is rolling out emoji reactions feature to clean-up your chats

Meta’s own messaging platform announces that it is rolling out the emoji reactions feature first spied at the beginning of the year in beta versions. 

However, in the latest emoji reactions feature, users will see the only heart, thumbs up, sad, crying, laughing, surprised face, and prying hands at releases for all chats.

As per the company, it is intended to keep chats clean with this recent emoji reactions feature. This indicates that users don’t need to replay with a devoted emoji inside the chat timeline.

According to a blog post by the tech giant on Thursday,

“Emoji reactions are coming to WhatsApp so people can quickly share their opinion without flooding chats with new messages.”

According to the announcement tweet of the WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart, more emojis are arriving after a short while. Apart from that, skin tones are further going to be accessible in the next update.

Moreover, the company did not provide clear details on whether each of the emoji reactions will gather irritating ‘reacted to’ alerts for all users. However, apparently, users will be able to tap the emojis below the message to watch who sent the wish.

The tech giant made this proclamation as part of its attempts to develop Communities inside the application, which are going to be a prolongation of group chats and are going to be coming in the application before the end of the year.

WhatsApp, as part of this drive, is additionally enhancing the max file transfer size from 100MB to 2GB. Apart from that, Group video chats are going to be extended to contain 32 participants. Presently users can add only eight members. The company is further adding the feature to allow admins to delete messages.

As per WhatsApp,

“Communities on WhatsApp will enable people to bring together separate groups under one umbrella with a structure that works for them.”

The company further added, “That way people can get updates sent to the complete Community and simply organise smaller discussion groups on what matters to them. Communities are also going to comprise powerful latest tools for admins, such as announcement messages that are sent to everyone and control over which groups can be included.”
