Meta’s instant messaging service WhatsApp has ultimately initiated beta testing for its long-awaited new features that let users search messages by date within a chat box.
This new WhatsApp feature allows users to scroll back to any conversation from any specific date in the private as well as group chat. For the time being, WhatsApp is releasing the feature for selected WhatsApp beta iOS users.

WABetaInfo, a website that tracks all WhatsApp-related developments, first spotted this search for a message-by-date feature a couple of months ago.
According to the most recent development, these latest features are going o make users able to search any particular messages from a chat by data rapidly. The users will now get the option to search by date in the chat search box.
The instant messaging platform has been creating this search messages by date feature for a long time. Now, the tech giant is ultimately releasing the feature of a number of iOS beta testers who have the most recent WhatsApp beta for the iOS 22.24.0.77 update on the TestFlight application.

How to search for messages by date in WhatsApp
WhatsApp iOS beta users are now going to see a calendar icon in the search bar which means a new search by date feature is now enabled in the chat window. In order to search for a certain chat,
- First, open any personal or group chat on WhatsApp
- Tap on the latest calendar icon in the search window
- Select the date you intend to search message for
- After you are scrolled back to the previous conversation, you will be able to find the messages you were searching for.
- Also, you can also go back to the first message in order to send it to your contact or in the group. All you need to do it to select the date, and you’ll go back to the previous conversation in the app.
Though WhatsApp has not rolled out the feature for all iOS beta users it is likely to launch it to more users in the impending days.
